Tackling TRT Down Under: A Guide to Testosterone Replacement Therapy in Australia
Did you know that our Testosterone levels are dropping every generation? Its a health issue that only impacts men so its not given the appropriate airtime.
Now I know a thing or two about the importance of testosterone. It’s the hormone that helps us build muscle, burn fat, and perform like champions in the gym. But for some of us, getting enough of the T-juice naturally can be a real struggle. That’s where testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) comes in.
Now, I know what you might be thinking: “Oh no, not another article about steroids and performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs)!” But TRT is not the same thing as juicing. It’s a medical treatment used to help guys with low testosterone levels get back to normal. The problem is, in Australia, TRT is shrouded in stigma and misinformation. Boooooooo
You see, the Australian medical community is a bit behind the times when it comes to TRT. Unlike in the US and Europe, where testosterone replacement therapy has been widely accepted and prescribed for decades, in Australia, many doctors are hesitant to prescribe it. This is partly due to a lack of education and training on the topic, but also due to the fact that TRT has been lumped in with PEDs and steroids in the public consciousness.
But here’s the thing: low testosterone is a serious issue that affects a lot of men. It’s not just about being a little weaker in the gym or having a little less energy. Low T can lead to a host of health problems, such as osteoporosis, heart disease, depression, and even an increased risk of death. It’s a condition that needs to be taken seriously and treated appropriately.
So, what causes low testosterone? There are a variety of factors that can contribute to low T, including age (testosterone levels naturally decrease as we get older), obesity, poor diet, lack of exercise, and certain medical conditions such as diabetes and HIV. Certain medications, such as opioids and antidepressants, can also lower testosterone levels.
The first step is to see a doctor and get your testosterone levels checked. If your levels are low, your doctor may recommend TRT. It’s important to work with a healthcare professional who is experienced and knowledgeable about TRT, as the dosage and administration of testosterone replacement therapy can vary depending on the individual.
The only issue here is we live in Australia and your options for TRT are very limited. In fact most GP’s don’t consider low T levels an issue. That why many men are going through sources like me to self administer TRT themselves. If this is something you’re considering please email me so I can walk you through some basic requirements & guide you.
Which is quite sad, you ask any man on TRT who have healthy ‘optimized’ levels, its a real game changer. More mental focus and drive, better body composition plus a health sex drive!
In conclusion, low testosterone is a serious issue that affects a lot of men and testosterone replacement therapy is a valid treatment option. It’s a shame that TRT has such a bad reputation in Australia and that the Australian medical community is decades behind when it comes to TRT. It’s time to break the stigma and give men the help they need to get back to feeling like their best selves. So, let’s raise a glass (or a protein shake) to tackling TRT down under!

Prerequisites and Precautions for Running a Safe Cycle
Yo lads, it’s Zac, here to drop some knowledge on you about running a safe steroid cycle in Australia.
But before we get into the nitty-gritty of it all, let’s make one thing clear: steroids and performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) are not something to be taken lightly. These substances should only be used by individuals who have done their research and understand what they are doing.
And most importantly-
- Don’t juice if you are 24 years or younger, you in your peak natural Testosterone years. Don’t mess that up!
- Don’t Juice if you have pre-existing health conditions that would put you at risk when on cycle (for example cardiovascular health related issues)
Now, with that disclaimer out of the way, let’s talk about what it takes to run a successful steroid cycle.
First and foremost, it comes down to blood work! You’ll need to have bloods pulled pre-cycle, during the cycle and post cycle to keep an eye on your health markers. I’ll dive into this in detail in a future article. Whilst were at it get your blood pressure checked, if you have high blood pressure you are at increased risk when dabbling with steroids.
Next you need to have a solid understanding of the drugs you plan on using. This means researching the different types of steroids, how they work, and what potential side effects they may have. You’ll also want to know the proper dosages and how to properly administer the drugs (i.e. injection vs oral).
Also, you’ll need to have a clear goal in mind. Are you looking to add mass? Increase strength? Improve recovery? Whatever your goal may be, it’s important to have a plan in place and stick to it. And remember, steroids are not a magic bullet – you’ll still need to put in the work in the gym and with your diet.
Speaking of diet, it’s crucial that you have a solid nutrition plan in place. Steroids can increase your appetite and make it easier to put on weight, but it’s important to make sure that weight is lean muscle mass and not just body fat. Eating a balanced diet with plenty of protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats will help support your training and recovery. Know your macro goals and have a plan to adhere to them!
You’ll also want to make sure you’re staying hydrated and getting enough rest. Steroids can put a lot of stress on your body, so it’s important to give it the tools it needs to recover and rebuild. Don’t discount sleep, it’s by far the best natural performance enhancing thing you can do!
And finally, it’s absolutely essential that you have a plan in place for coming off your cycle. This is often called the “post-cycle therapy” or “PCT” and it’s just as important as the cycle itself. You’ll need to taper off your steroids gradually, and you may also need to use other drugs to help your body restore its natural hormonal balance.
So there you have it, bros – the prerequisites for running a successful steroid cycle. With the right knowledge, planning, and execution, you can make some serious gains in the gym.
Just remember lads, we lift, we eat, we sleep and we repeat

Limited Progression as a natty, it is what it is
Natty = A natural bodybuilder, as in someone who has not used performance enhancing drugs
Enhanced = An enhanced bodybuilder, as in someone who has used performance enhancing drugs
We’ve been lied to for decades on whats naturally attainable with regards to body composition. The vast majority of the population have been brainwashed by clever supplement marketing & not so honest Marvel/DC actors on whats ‘naturally attainable’. Oh and let not forget that gym-bro that swears he’s natty.
It’s understandable though, supplement companies need to sell stock & actors need to keep acting.
As for the gym-bros its not in their best interest to admit they’re enhanced. For a start it’s not socially accepted as its seen as promoting ‘unhealthy behaviour’. No one wants to be shunned socially so it’s easier to deny deny deny! Plus being honest about steroid usage can result in people losing their jobs and thus ability to produce an income…..
Jesus even Terry Crews at 53 & jacked claims natty. Terry loves yoghurt, but Terry also loves gear.
Sadly all of this means that the average Aussie has an unrealistic expectation of whats naturally attainable. When it comes to attainable muscle mass we’re capped by our genetics (aka our genetic limit). Furthermore we’re limited in how quickly we can progress to our genetic limit.
People don’t get jacked fast unless they take gear. And even then genetics play a massive role on ones response to gear. We live in a society where everyone gets a participation award but the sad reality is that were not all built the same. Most of us have average genetics
How much progress can one make naturally? One model thats widely used to estimate progress is the Lyle McDonald Model-
The above table are averages based on an individual who is natural and has their training, nutrition & sleeping on point. If you have great genetics you can progress more, if you have bad genetics you will progress less.
If like myself your genetics aren’t great, make up for it by being the hardest worker in the room!

How do you know your steroids are high quality in Australia?
How often have you heard at work ‘safety is our number one priority!’ What a load of BS, do you know what trumps Safety in any industry? Quality! Simply put Quality is Safety on steroids.
Think about it, if a product is made with piss poor quality then it poses a massive safety risk & can cripple a business.
For example: Say a company made poor quality airbags that were installed in half a million Australian cars that randomly exploded, killing dozens of people & injuring hundreds more. Making poor quality products like that would bring a business to its knees (google Takata recall 😣 )
I guess my point here is that quality is extremely important in any industry. When it comes to Australian Under Ground Labs (UGL’s) the quality of their products will make/break their brand & reputation.
With regards to steroid quality there are 3 main factors that underline if the product is ‘good quality’-
- The Steroid has been produced & stored in a way that makes it safe for a human administration (i.e.- made in a sterile environment with sterile utensils & quality raw materials. Contained in clean/sterile vials/containers & stored in a clean environment)
- The Steroid is the correct compound
- The Steroid is the correct dosage
Now there are plenty of Gym-Bros that will claim they can tell the quality of a steroids just from looking at it 🤦🏻♂️
Lets be real here, if you want to know your steroids are high quality in Australia you have a few methods at hand. Not all methods are equal though so for simplicity I’ve listed them from most effective to shit-house 💩
Checking the Quality of your Steroids in Australia-
1- HPLC Testing (the gold standard) 👌
High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is a method used to quantify, identify and isolate the components of non-volatile liquid mixtures. In layman terms a very smart man in a white coat will introduce a sample of a steroid into a very smart machine which will then do its thing and tell you the exact compound/s and dosage/s.
This is seen as the gold standard of testing the quality of steroids in the community. Any steroid supplier in Australia worth their weight will be open to having their products lab tested.
For peace of mind I do have a HPLC offer that any customer can take me up on-
AusPharmacy HPLC Testing Offer- The offer is full reimbursement of the cost of testing lab costs + shipping costs + $100 store credit for each product tested.

2- Blood Work 👍
Ok so I’m going to start this one by pointing out that blood work is extremely important & some what complicated. Its for this reason that I’m only breezing over it here & intend to do many detailed articles on it in the near future.
In the context of steroid quality users will typically have their blood work taken on cycle & expect to see changes in certain markers compared to their baseline blood work taken pre-cycle-
- Total & Free Testosterone- Should be elevated when running high Testosterone
- LH & FSH – Should be VERY low or 0 when running high levels of androgens due to being suppressed
- Estrogen – Should be elevated with running compounds that aromitise
As you can see you can get indicators with regards to quality but it’s nothing on a HPLC.
Zac’s Pro Tip- If you do not have a trusted doctor who will assist you with blood work then you can order private blood work through imedical here
3- Third Party Reviews 👍
How awesome is the internet? You can pretty much find any type of forum where people are united by a common interest.
The largest forum for steroids in Australia is the BS Board. This amazing community provides a great place for steroid users & enthusiast to come together and discuss anything steroid /PED related.
With-in this forum is a review section where users from around the nation will share user reviews, blood work & HPLC testing results.
I highly recommend you visit the forum and see our latest customer reviews, you can find the BS Board here
4- At home steroid testing kits 💩
For a few hundred dollars you can get your own at home steroid testing kit.
On face value these testing kits look like the holy grail for quality testing, sadly these cheap test are not very accurate. When you take into account injectable steroids can use different carrier oils & oral steroids use different filling agents it makes it impossible for these tests to be accurate.
A quick review of any steroid forum will show you that the general consensus is that these testing kits are garbage. I’ve tried these kits many times with great disappointment, the last one I ran had Anavar come up as Tren 🤦🏻♂️
But hey a broken clock is right twice a day!
5– Feelings & Side Effects 💩
Users who have had decades of experience will often gauge the quality of a product from how they are feeling when running said compound. Whilst I can agree that some of these experienced users can gauge a compound it’s not very scientific and for the most part not very reliable.
Furthermore when some gym-bros see people doing this they get a big head and proceed to exert confidence that they can do the same…….
Also we see steroid users trying to gauge the quality of their steroids based on if side effects are present (such as water retention, pumps, sweating, sleeping disturbances etc). What you need to understand here is that you can run the exact same cycle twice where the first time you have side effects and the second time you don’t. Our bodies are very complex and it’s not as simple as A + B = C. Hence why gauging the quality of steroids based on ‘sides’ is shitty at best.
Just to recap here are the 5 methods we’ve explored for gauging the quality of steroids in Australia & their rating-
- HPLC – Excellent
- Blood Work – Good
- Third Party Reviews = Good
- At Home Steroid Testing Kits = Shithouse
- Feelings & Side Effects = Shithouse
